Mayor visits ambitious Netherton manufacturing firm

06 Oct 2022

The Mayor of Dudley visited Netherton-based manufacturing firm Midtherm to unveil the business’s new-look logo.

Midtherm is a family-owned traditional UK manufacturing business with over 50 years’ experience specialising in the production of domestic and commercial flue systems.

Not only do they already employ over 200 local people and run an apprenticeship scheme, Midtherm also have aspirations to become a significant national and international manufacturer in the future. They hope that the launch of their new brand will facilitate the start of this journey.

Their new branding reflects the range of manufacturing solutions they can provide and the evolution of their company from its traditional base to state-of-the-art technology, while still honouring its historic values.

After enjoying a tour of the business's main factory, the Mayor unveiled a plaque revealing their new branding.

Councillor Sue Greenaway, the Mayor of Dudley, said:

"It was a delight to meet the Midtherm team. It was evident from the start that this is a true family business with a really strong work ethic and a focus on team spirit and exemplary customer service.
I hope that the business continues to grow and bring more investment to the borough."

Mark Jones, director of sales and marketing at Midtherm, said:

"Midtherm is changing its brand to align with its up-to-date capabilities while redefining the company’s vision to meet all our clients expectations for the future.
Over time, Midtherm has evolved to meet everchanging manufacturing requirements and now consists of several divisions all working in partnership under the Midtherm brand.
Although we don’t want to lose our traditional identity and reputation, it is important to recognise and market these quite unique qualities while maintaining our core beliefs and principles, providing exceptional UK designed and manufactured products while living our family values of integrity, honesty, support, loyalty and longevity."

As part of their rebrand launch and factory open day, Midtherm held a raffle to support good mental health with contributions from local businesses. All monies raised will go equally to the Tough Enough to Care and WISH charities.
