Dudley Council and its partners are committed to supporting business growth and is able to offer bespoke skills and employment packages to help business in Dudley. The apprenticeship levy is a UK wide levy on employers which can be used to fund apprenticeship training. Dudley Council is welcoming requests for support from its Apprenticeship Levy Business Support Programme.
Black Country Skills Factory
The Black Country Skills Factory offers free, bite-sized courses to businesses on a range of topics. Working closely with local training providers and colleges they have developed an extensive portfolio of courses from advanced manufacturing to transport technologies,team leader training and business services.
Skills support for the workforce
If your employees require more in-depth training, fully funded support is available to Black Country SMEs through the skills support for the workforce project. They will work with you to identify skills gaps in your business and recommend tailored training plans which will give your workforce the skills needed for your business to flourish and grow.
Jobcentre Plus help for recruiters
Jobcentre Plus has a range of recruitment services that can help you as an employer. Get recruitment advice, help setting up work trials to try out potential recruits or help through the Work Choice programme.
Support from other employment schemes is also available, including work clubs and help with work experience.
