Manufacturers invited to share feedback on energy crisis

30 Jan 2023

The West Midlands Industrial Energy Taskforce is looking to hear from manufacturers and other high energy use businesses about their experiences of the current energy cost crisis.

Set up last year by the Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, the taskforce focuses on challenges and solutions for firms who are particularly vulnerable to the recent hikes in industrial energy prices.

Across February and March, the taskforce will be holding a series of evidence gathering sessions where businesses can discuss these challenges and their outlook for the future.

The case studies, information and conclusions from these sessions will be included in the taskforce's final report to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the West Midlands Combined Authority.

There are five evidence gathering sessions taking place in February and March, both online and in-person across the West Midlands.

Bookings for these sessions must be made via Eventbrite. Dudley manufacturers and other high energy use firms in the borough are welcome to attend any of the sessions.
