A platform that offers the latest advice and support to help businesses in the borough grow and succeed, has been launched.

The Dudley Business First website is now live and will be showcased this week at MIPIM UK, a leading property summit, where council bosses will be hoping to attract £910 million to boost regeneration plans in the borough.

At the two-day event, the council will sit alongside regional partners and the West Midlands Growth Company to profile key investment opportunities including DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone and a series of key housing, retail, leisure and employment sites on land in Dudley town centre.

It will also demonstrate the new website, which offers a wealth of advice and support for businesses, whether they’re just starting out, an existing company or one that’s looking to relocate to Dudley borough.

Businesses will be also able to access information about finding the right location, what financial support may be available and what help Dudley Business First can offer to help businesses grow.

The website also a dedicated section on DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone, where people can find out more about the benefits of being based within the zone including, its prime location and business rate relief, worth £55,000 a year for five years.

It offers a comprehensive property search, where businesses can find out what land or property is currently available within the enterprise zone and beyond and also outlines how the Dudley Business First team can help ambitious and expanding businesses upskill and grow their workforce through an exclusive skills and recruitment package.

Councillor Keiran Casey, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise (pictured above), said:

"We want to make sure that Dudley as a borough is the place to do business.
That's why we're committed to supporting business to ensure existing companies have the help and support they need to continue to grow, but also that we have the support in place for new businesses to come to Dudley and set up, providing a boost to the economy and offering more jobs for local people.
The Dudley Business First team and the new website are a fantastic resource. The website will be the first port of call for information, but people can still pick up the phone to talk to a member of the team for further help and support.
I want to continue to build on this though and make sure we do everything we can to establish Dudley as a centre of excellence for business."
