A consultation programme started in Stourbridge and is now being rolled out to other town centres in Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen, Lye and Sedgley this week.

A raft of safety measures were put into town centres by Dudley Council to help shoppers and traders stay safe and socially distance as much as possible. It included posters, barriers, signs, online resources and much more.

The council launched a survey last month to make sure traders could feedback any issues, and help plan for improvements to the measures over the coming weeks.

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environment, highways and street services, said:

"We have been working very closely with business for several weeks now to make sure the measures we have put in place are continuing to have the right effect. It’s important we continue to listen to any detail on how these measures have been working and make any small adjustments where necessary.

"I would urge traders to take the time to complete the short consultation so we can make informed decisions for both shoppers and traders."
