The time is now to invest in Dudley

15 May 2019

The scope of Dudley’s multi-million investment opportunities will be profiled as part of a Black Country Business Festival event next week.

The festival, which is now in its second year, offers more than 100 events to the business community, making it the region’s largest festival of its kind.

Trade shows, seminars, networking events, workshops and much more will be taking place across the Black Country throughout the festival.

At the event organised by Dudley Council, the spotlight will be shown on the multi-million pound investment opportunities the borough has to offer and why now is the time to invest here.

Aimed at business leaders, developers, investors, occupiers and intermediaries, the event will profile key projects including the Midland Metro extension as well as development opportunities including DY5, the support available to Dudley businesses and opportunities to upskill the borough’s workforce.

The event takes place on May 21, from 8 to 9.30am at Dudley College of Technology, The Broadway, Dudley.

Alan Lunt, deputy chief executive and director of place at Dudley Council, said:

"As an authority we are forging a future for Dudley borough and creating a place where businesses thrive and people want to work, live and visit.
"We know there’s never been a better time to invest here, with more than £1 billion already planned or committed. This is a really exciting phase in our growth and we want businesses, developers and investors to join us on this journey and maximise the benefits that will come from all of this investment.
"I’d urge anyone with a vested interest to come along to our event and see for themselves why Dudley is the business location of choice and how as an authority we can support them at such a crucial time."

DY5, Dudley’s business and innovation enterprise zone is once again supporting Black Country Business Festival. The festival runs from May 13 to 24.
