There are free market stalls up for grabs for new and expanding businesses on Small Business Saturday.

Dudley Council has partnered with Tudor Markets to offer a limited number of free market stalls on Dudley Market on Saturday December 7 to celebrate and promote the national initiative, which encourages people to shop local and support small businesses.

The offer is open to anyone living or working in Dudley borough who is happy to work outside on a stall alongside the market’s regular traders.

It’s an ideal opportunity for anyone who runs a small business from home and is keen to have a go at trading for the day.

Alan Lunt, deputy chief executive, said:

"As one of our commitments through the Dudley Deal, we’re keen to get behind small businesses and highlight the vital role they play on our High Streets and to the local economy.
"This is a great opportunity for small businesses to be part of the national campaign and I’d urge residents to support them by shopping local on our High Streets in the run up to Christmas."

Anyone interested in having a free stall can contact Dudley Business First on 01384 812001 or email info@dudleybusinessfirst.co.uk

The theme of this year’s national campaign is ‘find your local hero’ and Dudley Council will be supporting it with a social media advent calendar, celebrating local businesses.
