Director on why move to DY5 was the right decision

09 Nov 2018

The director of a high-flying finance firm will be on hand to talk to businesses about why a move to the borough’s enterprise zone has proved the right decision at next week’s open house event.

Dudley Council’s Dudley Business First team will be hosting a DY5 open house breakfast session next Thursday (November 15) from 7.30 to 9.30am at the Brierley Hop House on Level Street.  Places are still available.

The team has invited Matt Williams, Director at Prosperity Wealth, to come along to chat to prospective businesses about the company’s experience of relocating to the enterprise zone.

The company, which offers advice on pensions, investments, mortgages, equity release and commercial finance, has more than quadrupled the number of financial advisors in the past ten years and has plans to grow the company further.

Since relocating to a 12,000 sq ft office space in Quay House earlier this year, the company, which hopes to double its workforce in the next ten years, has already recruited ten new members of staff including an apprentice.

Matt Williams, Director of Prosperity Wealth, said:

"Since moving into our new office space, we now have the room to expand our adviser team and we are already benefiting from vastly improved facilities such as improved broadband, better parking and excellent client interview and seminar space.
We know that a move to the enterprise zone is a sensible choice and I’m happy to share our experiences with interested parties.”

Councillor Keiran Casey, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise said:

"It’s fantastic to hear that a company, which has taken the leap and relocated to DY5, is doing well and continuing its ambitious plans for growth.
I’d like to thank Matt for taking the time to support our breakfast session and give a real account of the benefits of moving to the enterprise zone.”

DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone offers high quality affordable office space. This event is ideal for anyone wanting to discover more about the plans for the area and how doing business here can be of benefit to them.

The session is free to attend but people should confirm their attendance in advance at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dy5-open-house-breakfast-session-tickets-51545059661
