Breakfast session for potential investors

22 Jan 2019

Ambitious businesses looking to grow and expand can find out why a move to DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Centre, could be a step in the right direction, at a special breakfast meeting next month.

The event, organised by Dudley Council’s business support service, Dudley Business First, will take place on Thursday February 7 from 7.30 to 9.30am at the Brierley Hop House on Level Street.

DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone offers high quality, affordable office space. This event is ideal for anyone wishing to discover more about the plans for the area and how doing business here can be of benefit to them.

It is specifically tailored for businesses looking for high quality and affordable office space, which can be found on the Waterfront, the heart of DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone.

The Waterfront area of the enterprise zone is growing in confidence since its launch in early 2017, with a number of businesses moving into the office accommodation - now 84.3 percent occupied.

Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for regeneration, planning and economic investment, said:

"We are borough with ambitious plans for growth and we want to meet with people from local businesses who share this passion and are interested in the prospects that a move to the Waterfront could offer.
"The breakfast session is an opportunity to find out more and to see first-hand the quality and affordable office space available that is available.”

During the event, businesses can also find out more about the benefits of operating within DY5, not least its central location, the opportunity for business rate relief and the introduction of the Metro in a few years’ time

DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone launched in the early part of 2017 and is based in the borough’s strategic centre of Brierley Hill.

It aims to rejuvenate the Waterfront office complex at Merry Hill and create additional office, technology and industrial space in the surrounding areas of Brierley Hill, Harts Hill and Pensnett. It is expected to deliver up to 7,000 new jobs and uplift the economy by £589million each year.
