Job support scheme - the Government has extended its job support scheme for firms required to close due to Covid restrictions (formerly furlough)
Apprentice support - The Government have introduced payments to support employers who hire new apprentices between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021. They will make this payment in addition to the £1,000 employers already receive for hiring an apprentice:
- aged 16 to 18 years old
- under 25 with an education, health and care plan or has been in the care of their local authority
Employers who hire a new apprentice between these dates will receive a payment of:
- £2,000 for apprentices aged 16 to 24
- £1,500 for apprentices aged 25 and over

Hire experienced, work-ready apprentices - When you take on new apprentices, consider hiring apprentices who have been made redundant . They already have relevant skills and experience, and they qualify for the incentive payments too.

Bounce back loans - the government has announced that small businesses can apply to borrow between £2,000 and £50,000 with the cash arriving within days. Find out more
